Glassware is difficult to photograph. The best solution is to let the light pass through the subjects rather than try to illuminate the glass directly. The first photo was lit with a strobe illuminating white seamless. There was no direct lighting on the wine glasses. Note the mirror base and the blue tint.
The second photo was lit from behind with three strobes two from the sides and one from overhead. The background was blacked out using PhotoShop to give a neon appearance to the bottles.
